Nokia Android
Nokia Android Rumors
Rumors about the Nokia Android keep surfacing on the Net, especially since Android became the best selling operating system in early 2011. However, the famous mobile phone manufacturer (which sells the most number of mobile phones every year) still stubbornly refuses to release a Nokia Android phone because it insists on using either Symbian or Windows Mobile as the operating systems of its phones.
However, it was revealed mid-year that Nokia met with both Microsoft and Google to discuss the possibility of launching a Nokia Android Phone. Although Nokia also later revealed that it will continue releasing Windows Mobile-powered phones, enough has been said: The Nokia Android may be the future when it comes to Nokia phones.
Tweaked Nokia Android Phone
As users become more and more tired with the phased-out Symbian and Windows Mobile (both of which look tarnished when compared with the dynamic Android Operating System), many genius hackers out there managed to tweak their Nokia phones and come up with a Nokia Android cell phone. A good example of this is the Nokia N900, the latest of Nokia’s Internet Tablet series. Although equipped with the Maemo 5 OS, many are still discontent and believe that they can do better with an Android Platform. Many succeeded in tweaking the phone and installing Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Most users believe that the Nokia Android they have improvised performs better and makes the Nokia phone a wonder to the touch. Other phones that have been “unofficial” Nokia Android releases are the Nokia N8 Android, Nokia N810 Android, and Nokia N800 Android, all of which were professionally tweaked by knowledgeable hackers.
Android Applications
With thousands of applications that are ready for download, it is easy to fathom that Nokia and Android have a future together. After all, Nokia surely does not want to be overtaken by other mobile phone manufacturers that have embraced the Ultimate Operating System, thereby maximizing the potential of their phone products.
Google Android can support any application, from games and image editors to complicated finance tools. Because of its compatibility with thousands of applications, new android phones have changed the way mobile phones are defined. They are no longer mere devices for communication; they are sophisticated office tools that are powerful but can still fit in the palm of one’s hand. If this is the future that the Android OS is leading us to, it is not fearful to conclude that the release of the new Nokia Android may be just around the corner.
